Friday, January 15 // Bougie Lifestyle :)

Today my plan to visit Bogor was cancelled as a consequence of the terror attacks, so instead I met up with my friend Magda (IG: @magdalenea_) for coffee at Grand Indonesia. She's quite short but was wearing heels and dressed quite nicely (meanwhile I'm in like typical a t-shirt and jeans). She says, "my favorite food is the German." wkwkwk haha, and then she say "my face it's shaped like a mango" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. She actually points out that we might not get into the Cloud bar later on because I'm dressed so casually. Whatever lol I'm a bule so who cares.

I arrived to Grand Indonesia a bit late, around 4pm, so I was already quite hungry by the time I arrived to there. She recommended we go to this famous German restaurant inside of Grand Indonesia called Paulaner Brรคuhaus. I got sausages and a beer and she got pork belly and a juice. The restaurant had an outdoor sitting area, which was really nice, and had strong views of the central circle of Jakarta near the welcome statue. Really good meal as well, check out this food and the view from the restaurant:

After we finish eating (she paid for me!! so nice), I accompanied her to Forever 21 and H&M because she wanted to buy a belt. She ended up not finding anything, so we just walked over to Plaza Indonesia to go up to the Cloud Lounge. It's a rooftop bar in the central business district of Jakarta with really nice views. Anyway, on the walk over Magda was fully lost hahaha (wkwkwk: indonesian version of hahaha) and we walked in circles around Plaza Indonesia like 5 times. They had super nice stores though... so I didn't mind. Got to window shop for Givenchy, Prada, Chanel, Ferragamo, blah blah blah. Anyway, I eventually figure out where we have to go and show Magda how to go to the Plaza office tower (the bar is on top). It's a nice building. We get up to the top and they let me in (bule wkwk). It was too dark to take photos of the lounge itself... but the view is really nice (and this magda in the last):

Anyway, I get a double tequila on the rocks and she gets an albans cider. We talk about different universities in Indonesia, the size of opportunities here, what her friends are doing for work, and about her life as her mom lives and works in the US. The tequila is pretty good and soon I'm tired, so we head out, and I go home to watch some tv and sleep.
